Simon Kearney - The Island (CD)

With L'Île , his fourth album in his career, Simon Kearney marks a return to his roots in order to pursue his path more maturely, abandoning the appropriate "pop n' roll" of his recent releases in favor of a crafted folk through which he explores his insularities. Inhabited by several islands, he crosses them here in song: the island of Orléans where he owns a house; that of Montreal where he shares an apartment; those of the Madeleine, where he imposes a stop every summer; and Cuba, where he tried to learn to dance the cha-cha.
